Golden State Warriors: Warriors Make Playoffs, But Future is Far More Promising

The Golden State Warriors have made their first playoffs since 2007, when they famously upset the San Antonio Spurs as the 8th seed in one of the most entertaining playoff series of all time. However, they are far more than the upset special of 2007, they are a legitimate playoff team with a chance to make some noise in these playoffs. So much has happened to the franchise over the past 2 years year and with the decisions made on all levels of the franchise, they should only become a better team over the next couple of seasons.
Stephen Curry has become a bona fide star and is absolutely on his way to superstardom. He is the best pure shooter in the league, unstoppable on offense and a true franchise player that they can build around for the next decade. He has improved his distribution skills and has become a true point guard. With Curry, they will never struggle for offense, but there is much more to this team than Curry. David Lee, has finally played up to his contract and his been spectacular this year, as a secondary offensive option and was actually an All Star over Curry. Building around Curry and Lee, will provide them with an elite 1-2 combo going forward. Next year they can count on a healthier Andrew Bogut, who has shown flashes of past brilliance, but if he is healthy, he will be the backbone of their defense and will help them improve dramatically in that area. They can also count on improvement from their young starting wing tandem, Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes, giving them one of the best starting lineups in the NBA. Their personal is incredible, but there is much more to this team than just the players.
Mark Jackson has proven that he is an excellent coach and has a knack for player development and he looks to be a long-time mainstay in Golden State. They also have an excellent management team, with a very active owner in Joe Lacob, who is more than willing to spend for his team to win and with Jerry West as a top of the line advisor, they have a very wise front office team and they have made brilliant decisions over the last two years. Almost everything they have done has been excellent, as they have drafted extremely well, drafting Thompson, Barnes, Festus Ezeli and Draymond Green, traded for Bogut and Jarrett Jack, signed Carl Landry and resigned Curry to long-term to a contract that will be an absolute bargain for years. They need to resign Jack and Landry this off-season and try to resign Bogut next year, but so far almost everything they have done has had positive outcome. With further moves and player development, this team can only become better and better. They are in incredible shape with their players, coach, management and owners, in the long run..
This team is very talented and will most likely be the 6th seed in the West playoffs, but the future is even more promising and they could rise up the West ranks over the years. Almost all of the decisions made over the last two years have turned up brilliantly and they have the talent and the management team to take this team farther than they have in decades.
