Hello! My name is Deq'ster and if you’re reading this right now, you are interested in my journalistic experience and basketball knowledge thus far – either that, or you came to this site by mistake. Either way, welcome!
I have most recently accepted a position with local bloggers and websites in the west coast where I am the web/bog producer/wrtter for all basketball, and a free lance writer for local news in Southern California. It has been a great opportunity to learn even more about the world of basketball online journalism.
In the past, my work has been found on Cincinnati.com, The TODAY Show and The Washington Post’s hyper-local site, yahoo sports.
My passions in journalism have not limited me in developing just one certain skill. In this rapidly evolving journalistic world, I have found it to be extremely beneficial to mold a variety of skills that have allowed me to tell a story in a multitude of ways. Hopefully, I will be able to continue this work throughout my professional career.
