The Minnesota Timberwolves rejected a trade proposal from the Los Angeles Lakers for the No. 2 pick in the NBA draft.
The Los Angeles Times, citing two NBA sources, reported that the Lakers wanted to deal NBA Sixth Man of the Year Lamar Odom so they move up and draft Arizona's Derrick Williams in Thursday's draft.
Minnesota reportedly asked for either of the Lakers' two big men, Andrew Bynum or Paul Gasol, but were rebuffed.
The Lakers do not have a pick in the first round. They have three selections in the second round.
