Washington Wizards Get New Jersey, Keep Silly “Wizards” Name

Not only did the Wizards get new jersey, but they also got a new logo with a new “DC” logo, with a hand reaching up for the ball that pays homage to the old Bullets. On the jersey themselves, the “I” in both Washington and Wizards is dotted with a basketball, while the “H” in Washington and the “D” in Wizards are formed with the Washington Monument on the road and home jerseys respectively.

The Washington Wizards get back to their Washington Bullets roots with their new red, white, and blue jersey. It pays homage to the days when they were allowed to be ammunition and not a Dungeons & Dragons character.
There is also a star on the bottom of the shorts that helps form a “W,” another reference to the City the team calls their home. These new Wizards jersey are my favorite of all time, a huge upgrade from the old blue, teal, or gold jerseys with the god awful “Wizards” font. Check out the Wizard’s team store for the new jerseys.
